Snow Days- Non Maternity Favorites

This post contains affiliate links. Please see the "Disclosures" page for more info.

Happy Wednesday!
We have been stuck in the house a good five days because of the weather. It's been so relaxing but I believe the kiddos are going stir crazy. When we found out we were going to have this gorgeous snow day I knew I wanted to snap a few pictures.

Non Maternity Pieces During Pregnancy

The rest of this month I''m going to be sharing one post a week that has my favorite non maternity pieces that are in my closet this winter. The first one is this black tunic length sweater I found at Nordstrom. It's the softest cotton blend! I could definitely live in it the rest of this winter. I keep finding myself drawn to black tops and leggings the further I get into pregnancy. It helps not draw as much attention to the bump. I don't have nearly as many people ask me if I'm expecting twins!

With only eleven weeks left I hate to invest in a ton of maternity things I won't wear again. So my tip for all of you  expecting mama's- splurge on your accessories not clothes! Lately I have had an obsession with all things baby pink. Is it a sign there's a baby girl in our future or could it be that I'm more than ready for Spring weather! Either way I have been on the hunt for the perfect pale pink bag and this one I love. You can find it here or the same one in black here. (If you aren't ready for Spring yet!)

Okay let's talk about jewelry. That is one thing you can for sure get while pregnant and continue to wear. I found these adorable "mini sailors knot" stud earrings by Kate Spade that I fell in love with! I'm all about gold jewelry these days and these studs are perfect for everyday. You can find them here.

Eleven weeks to go and we are more than ready for a new chapter. Spring weather, new babies and new adventures. Counting down the days!

Gender Neutral Newborn Must Haves

Happy Monday Ya'll!
We have been snowed in for since early Friday morning. Okay Maybe I'm exaggerating but when you live in the south and it snows a few inches everyone kind of panics and stays put. The icy roads are crazy.

Having this be my third pregnancy and newborn you would think that I would have all of the basics covered by now but I have learned there are so many must have products for newborn's.

I have heard people rave over the Dock A Tot's the past couple of years. When we found out we were expecting again I knew we already had a bunch of our basics. Crib, pack n plays, etc. I started putting a list together of things I wanted before the new baby and a Dock A Tot was at the top of the list. Unless you've been living under a rock then you have heard of these and how functional they are. I can't wait to add a sweet little babe in there. We got the Delux Dock in Silver Lining chevron pattern. Which I think is the perfect gender neutral print. We also added the toy arch. They are removable and  easy to put back on. Both of my other babies loved looking up at things when they were infants so I knew the arch was needed.

I am so excited to try out the Ollie Swaddle when baby arrives. With our last two babies they LOVED to be swaddled until about three months. I am pretty convinced that swaddling, a white noise machine and a full belly contribute to all of mine sleeping 12 hours at night at 12 weeks old (fingers crossed I'm not jinxing this one!). In the past we have just used swaddle blankets and I would find their tiny arms escaping throughout the night in the early days. We got our Ollie Swaddle in the color "stone" Which again is the perfect gender neutral color. I do have to admit though, If we bring a baby girl into this world- I'll have to go snag the swaddle in "lavender" It couldn't be more dainty and sweet.

How many times have you headed to the store with your baby, brought your huge carseat in, put it in the buggy and then realize you have zero room for your groceries? Yep, It has happened to be numerous times. The Binxy Baby Shopping Cart Hammock is GENIUS. They are designed to make your shopping trips go a little smoother. I don't know how I went through two babies and didn't have something like this before!

Two words- WASHABLE RUGS. I know I'm not the only one who is thinking how perfect these are for a nursery. We went with the  "Lace Ice" rug. We plan to start working on the nursery in the next few weeks. We are moving H out of the Nursery and into the big kid room! Right now the room is a red color filled with baseball decor. It is the only room in the house we haven't painted since moving in. We are going to paint it the same color as the rest of the rooms in our house which is Crushed Ice by Benjamin Moore. We love it. Our nursery is going to be very light, bright and neutral. I can't wait to update you on how it turns out!

New Year New Products | Decluttering with Re-Play

Re-play red sippy cup: Here / Blue snack stacks: Here

This is the collection we chose: It is the "Crayon Box" collection. I think it's perfect if you are a mom of both genders like myself!

Happy Monday Mama’s! This post is for you.

Every January we like to get rid of things we no longer use, make better decisions and try to declutter our home. I don’t know if you are like I am but we tend to end up with forty-nine sippy cups in our cabinet. Most of them that don’t even have matching tops! In the past I have gone and grabbed a couple of new ones at a time and just end up with the same problem. More cups that we lose the tops too!

Barrett was putting away the clean dishes one day in November and said, “We seriously Need to get rid of all of these and just start over.” And I completely agreed.

Of course as a mom health and safety for my babies are always the first thing I think about. I started doing some research on what kind of products would be the best fit for us and came across Re-play.

When we opened our replay box (of literally all the goods they offer) we had a little note card on top hat stated. “These products were made using 45 recycled milk jugs!” How neat is that? They are extremely durable and I have lost count how many times my husband has made a comment on how much he loves them. Besides the great quality they are also free of BPA, BPS, PVC, lead, phthalates and melamine. Now if that doesn’t put your mind at ease then I’m not sure what will. It makes us wonder how we didn’t come across these before.

So mama’s, as always I want to share things that we find that we LOVE and I just know I have to share. You can find out all about Re-play HERE and shop the products down below! And if you have any questions I’m more than happy to answer them.

Goals for 2018 + Bump Update

Happy 2018!
We have been busy the last couple of days trying to get back into our routine of work and school and they have been SO hard for me. When I'm this far along in my pregnancies everything gets to be a chore. Which brings me to my 26 week bump update! I think the "pregnancy honeymoon phase" is officially over. The first trimester is always hard because of low energy and morning sickness. The second trimester feels so much better! Tons of energy, belly isn't too large yet and I feel like I'm rocking this pregnancy thing. Until about two weeks ago I felt great. Now the belly is large and in charge, my energy levels are completely down and it I just really want to stay in pjs all day. It also doesn't help that the weather has been freezing here. We are thirteen weeks away from welcoming our sweet baby. We have a boy name pick out but still not 100% set on a girls name. And no we still haven't found out the gender. Baby is right on track, healthy and I'm so thankful for that!

When I started thinking about things I wanted to accomplish in the new year I knew my main goal was to stop being so hard on myself especially during pregnancy. I'm going to be completely honest now. I am not one of those pregnant girls who get this cute little bump and are back to normal not long after the birth. I gain weight everywhere. No matter what I do doing pregnancy it's just the way my body handles pregnancy and carries a baby. No matter my activity, diet or age. I've pretty much done it all. My first one I was 21 years old, not very active and literally ate everything! My second at almost 24, I was running three plus miles five days a week and eating pretty clean but I would also give in more to my cravings and was chasing after a two year old! Finally this one. My final pregnancy I'll give birth and turn 27 a few months later (which use to seem so grown and now I'm realizing I'm still such a baby lol) between working with preschoolers and having two littles of my own I feel like I never sit down. I try to eat healthy but seriously. Today I came home from work and ate about six Oreos. With the new year and a new baby I gave some thought about what I wanted to set for personal goals in this year and honestly I just want to not be so hard on myself. It can be difficult as a wife and a mom to give yourself some grace. I always want things to be in order and I have already been struggling with the thought of body changes and weight gain during pregnancy. I know it can be hard for anyone! You go from being able to turn flips (not literally) to not even being able to tie your own shoes! I remember telling my husband the other day "Imagine if your body gained fifteen extra pounds in twenty five short weeks."

So no resolutions here! Just goals. Goals to give myself  some grace, be the best wife and mom I can be and prepare to become a family of SIX.

What are some of your goals for 2018? I'd love to hear them!
